Is my camera feed sent anywhere?
No. Frames are processed in your browser and discarded. No video or image data is transmitted or stored.
Why is the camera not working?
Camera access requires a secure context and explicit permission. Check that you granted access, that no other application is holding the camera, and that the browser is allowed to use it.
Can it scan barcodes as well?
No. This decoder handles QR codes specifically, not one-dimensional barcodes such as EAN or Code 128.
Are QR codes safe to scan?
Scanning is safe; acting on the content may not be. QR codes are used in phishing, so read the decoded URL before opening it — that is exactly what showing it as plain text here is for.
