About the PDF Editor

Write out a new PDF containing your changes and download it. The original file on your disk is left untouched.

Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The document is rendered and rewritten in your browser. This is the key difference from most online PDF editors, which require an upload and may retain the file.
Is a signature added this way legally binding?
A drawn or image signature is an electronic signature, which is accepted for many purposes but is not the same as a cryptographic digital signature. Requirements vary by jurisdiction and document type — check what your situation demands.
Can I edit the existing text in a PDF?
No. You can overlay new text on top of a page, but the text already embedded in the document cannot be rewritten. PDF stores text as positioned glyphs rather than editable flowing paragraphs.
Can it open password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted PDFs are not supported. Remove the password protection in the application that created the file first.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Yes, for page operations and annotations. A scan is a set of images, so there is no selectable text to work with, and this tool does not perform OCR.
